Genevive Pujalet

Genevieve completed her Yoga Works teacher training in 2003, under the guidance of Annie Carpenter and Lisa Walford. She has been blessed with the opportunity to study with renowned teachers, all of whom have shaped her teaching style and her own practice. Her most notable teaching influences are Seane Corn, Vinnie Marino, Laura Miles, Diana Christinsen, and Mark Stephens. She founded Yoga Loft in Manhattan Beach in 2004, and sold the studio to Suzy Nece in 2009, longing to focus solely on teaching.

Genevieve believes that vinyasa flow classes should be challenging, playful, and athletic, but equally safe, therapeutic, and mindful. As a teacher, she tries to create sequences that are accessible to everyone; her dance background instilled in her an appreciation for precise alignment yet an understanding that every body has different needs. When not teaching, Genevieve can be found at home in the South Bay with her husband, Darren, wrangling their twin toddlers, rambunctious black lab, and neurotic cat.
